Zoom in font  Zoom out font Published: 2012-05-31  Origin: FDA
Core Tip: May 30, 2012 - OSKRI Corp. of Lake Mills, WI is recalling 3.53 ounce bags of “Peach Granola”, because it may contain undeclared cashews.
People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to cashews and/or other nuts run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products.

The recalled “Peach Granola” was distributed nationwide to travel plazas and retail stores.
The product comes in a 3.53 ounce, flexible plastic bag, UPC 666016111743, marked with the following stamp, which can be found on the front of the bag in the upper right corner:
  • P 3/3/12
  • EXP 9/9/13
  • LOT 75

No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with the problem.

The recall was initiated after it was discovered that the cashew-containing product was distributed in packaging that did not reveal the presence of cashews. Subsequent investigation indicates the problem was caused by a temporary breakdown in the company's production process.

Consumers who have purchased 3.53 ounce bags of “Peach Granola” are urged to return it to the place of purchase for a full refund. Consumers with questions may contact Alisha Smith of Oskri’s Quality Department by emailing
quality@oskri.com or by calling 1-920-648-8300
