Zoom in font  Zoom out font Published: 2012-06-02  Origin: FBR
Core Tip: Marsh Butcheries has recalled vacuum-packed chorizo sausages from its retail store in Stratford, Cairns, in Queensland, Australia, due to the presence of Listeria Monocytogenes, according to the Food Standards Australia New Zealand (FSANZ).
The product affected by the recall is Marsh Butcheries Chorizo Sausages, sold in a vacuumed sealed packet available in varying sizes between 350g - 400g. It has a use by date of 6 June 2012.

FSANZ has urged consumers not to eat this product. Listeria may cause illness in pregnant women and their unborn babies, the elderly and people with low immune systems. Any consumers concerned about their health have been advised to seek medical advice.

Customers have been asked to return the product to the place of purchase for a full refund.
