Kaduna governor Sir Patrick Ibrahim Yakowa said the new plant will improve the economy of the state, by creating direct employment as well as indirect employment to farmers in the state.
Dufil Prima Foods chairman Haresh Aswani said that there would be increase in production at the completion of the $30m phase II of the factory, which is expected by the end of the year.
The company plans to make the country the hub of its activities in Africa, Aswani added.
Northern Nigeria Noodles currently has a palm oil, flour mill and spice processing factory in the country, which supply raw materials to its plants. It expects to employ over 1.5 million Nigerians by 2015.
