Maersk Line will impose a general rate increase on trades from Latin America to the Indian Subcontinent and the Middle East, starting July 15.
The planned increase will be $150 per 20-foot and $300 per 40-foot/high cube container.
The Danish carrier will also hike its rates by $560 per 20-foot and $800 per 40-foot dry container on cargo from Far East Asia to the west coast of South America, Central America and the Caribbean, also effective July 15.
“In order to continue offering our broad portfolio of services and high level of reliability, it will be necessary for us to implement a number of rate increases,” Maersk said.
