Core Tip: A partnership that enables food processors and manufacturers to deliver “efficient and effective” training for their workforce has been set up in the UK.
US-based Alchemy Systems and UK food and drink organisation, FDQ, have partnered to provide the UK launch of SISTEM training for Level 2 Food Safety qualifications.

SISTEM provides modules including understanding the importance of food safety systems, legal responsibilities of food handlers and business, food poisoning, foodborne illness and reporting requirements and reporting and preventing microbiological hazards.

Chief executive of FDQ, Amanda Clark, said: "We encourage food manufacturing and processing companies to take advantage of the level 2 food safety for manufacturing national qualification via SISTEM, safe in the knowledge that they are receiving high quality, nationally accredited training.“

Jeff Eastman, chief executive officer at Alchemy Systems, said: “Working with our partners at FDQ, we are rolling out a high quality and unique solution for food safety training and certification, as well as other topics essential to businesses in the UK.
