Organic almonds recalled in Australia

Core Tip: Australian supermarket chain Woolworths is recalling Macro Wholefoods Market Organic Biodynamic Almonds due to Salmonella contamination.
According to Food Standards Australia New Zealand (FSANZ), the product being recalled was sold in 250g, re-sealable white and purple plastic packaging, with a best before dates of 16/02/13, 03/03/13, 17/03/13.

It has been available for sale across Australia at Woolworths Supermarkets, Safeway, Food for Less, Flemings Supermarkets and Thomas Dux Grocers

Food contaminated with Salmonella may cause illness if consumed. Consumers have been urged not to eat this product, but to return it to the place of purchase for a full refund. The agency has advised consumers concerned about their health to seek medical advice.
