The festival promoted cultural awareness through spirituality, music, food and entertainment.
Vendors from the community and across the state offered a variety of items including handmade Senegalese baskets, clothing, jewelry, and information booths with historical facts and health awareness. Plenty of Soul Food was available at the vent including fried chicken and fish, collard greens, and smoked turkey legs.
The festival also featured a Cadillac Contest, a Sweet Potato Pie competition, and a lineup of singers, dancers, and poets including The Four Knight Band.
