Eddie and Nina Yakou, Franchisees of 7-Eleven Mickleham Road Tullamarine, took home the first award of the night – a tied AACS Major Retail Franchised Store of the Year award for their impeccable store and excellent customer service which they have been providing since becoming Franchisees in 2006.

7-Eleven’s second award was for Major Retailer Head Office of the Year, which is based on supplier surveys and recognises the major retailer which shows leadership, delivers excellent in-store promotions and works with its suppliers to build partnerships that deliver mutual long-term success. The award was accepted by 7-Eleven Head of Marketing, Julie Laycock, who told Australian Food News and the audience she was thrilled with the win.

Lilian Mikhail, District Manager at 7-Eleven, snapped up the third award of the night, winning the Peter Jowett Industry Award for the retailer category. Lilian was recognised for her insight and strong business plan with solid ideas to enhance the customer experience and grow profitable sales in the Australian retail convenience market. As the winner of this award, Lilian will represent Australia at the Global Convenience Industry Achievement Awards at The NACS Show in Las Vegas, which is held from 7-10 October 2012.

Speaking about the Major Retailer Head Office of the Year award, 7-Eleven CEO Warren Wilmot said, “It is such an honour to have won this award amoungst Australia’s many outstanding retailers. It is because of the hard work of our team, and particularly our Franchisees, that we have achieved this great success.”
