The horror of missing a KFC "Bargain Bucket" was so great for an English man that he slammed his car through the front window of a central England KFC and threatened the staff with a 20-foot pole he ripped right out of the frame of the fast-food restaurant. What he got for his trouble: no bargain bucket and seven years in jail. According to the Daily Mail, 50-year-old Hugh Brown went on a violent rampage after being told that the KFC had been closed for twenty minutes and couldn't sell him a bucket of chicken:
Four police cars were called before he was finally arrested. Brown told cops: 'I only did it because they wouldn't give me a bargain bucket.' Brown was jailed for seven years after pleading guilty to affray, damaging property, dangerous driving and attempted grievous bodily harm with intent when he appeared at Northampton Crown Court on Wednesday.
Closed-circuit television footage caught Brown hurling the pole, javelin-style, at the KFC staff, and police described him as seeming "psychotic and deranged."
