Ferrero starts Kinder Surprise production in Russia

Core Tip: Italian confectioner Ferrero has begun producing Kinder Surprise in Russia, the company has confirmed.
Ferrero verified details of an article in The Moscow Times, which said that production of Kinder Eggs was to commence at its factory in the Vladimir region this month.
Kinder eggs for Russia were previously imported from Italy and Poland, but the new production line will begin supplying Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan and Belarus.
The Moscow Times article said that Russia was Ferrero’s biggest market for Kinder Surprise.
The product is prohibited in the United States over fears the toy found inside the chocolate egg poses a choking hazard to children.
