Dairy farmers in Isle of Wight, a county in England, have introduced a new milk brand which will be produced, processed and packaged in the county.

The new brand which will be known as I love Isle of Wight Milk, will be sold in Tesco and some Southern Co-operative stores.

The
Island Dairy Farmers Group said that presently, 80% of the total milk produced in the county is being exported. The new brand is expected to reduce the transportation costs and also assure that the dairy farmers are fairly paid.

Island Dairy Farmers Group secretary Louise Hart said that working in collaboration with Rew Valley Dairies, the group is planning to launch the new brand bearing a distinctive logo across the island in a few weeks.
