Indena has received Kosher certification from KLBD (also known as the Kashrut Division of the London Beth Din) for a line of products including its Meriva and Greenselect Phytosome ingredients.
Headquartered in Milan, Indena said that it has been working extensively with KLBD in London for many years and has certified a large number of its ingredients. The Kosher certification for these ingredients, manufactured in the main Indena production plant in Settala (Milan), required extensive site inspections reviewing the entire process from harvesting to the final extract.
This certification, said the company, confirms that Indena extracts are acknowledged worldwide as ingredients meeting high standards.
“The positive conclusion of this new certification procedure conducted by the International Kosher agencyKLBD is a further step completing the Indena certification plan,” said Christian Artaria, marketing director and head o ffunctional food development, “which involved all our production sites. It confirms Indena's commitment in respecting the different cultures and specific needs of all customers and their consumers worldwide.”
“It is very gratifying to increase our kosher certification business with Indena, certifying more of their leading ingredients,” said Russell Brown, KLBD commercial consultant. “Furthermore, on behalf of my colleagues, I have to say it is a pleasure to work with such a professional organisation and to thank them for the courtesy they extended to our personnel.”
