508 GastroBrewery in the US, has recruited Chris Cuzme as brewer.

Chris Cuzme is a former president of the NYC Homebrewers' Guild and a beer educator.

The brewer, using Sir Caskalot, is planning to brew Cask ale at 508 GastroBrewery.

Chris Cuzme, who is also president of the Malted Barley Appreciation Society, is a co-founder of the 15-barrel microbrewery Wandering Star of Pittsfield, US, which opened in June 2011. He was also one of the organizers of the original NY Craft Beer Week.

In addition to cask ale, Cuzme will also brew beers such as Mild Fire, One, The Burnstein, Says You, James, Parting Glass and 3rd Base.

508 GastroBrewery owner and chef Jen Hill was quoted by beerpulse.com as saying that the brewery is happy to have Chris Cuzme as brewer.

''His extensive beer knowledge combined with his level of participation in the brewing world will help us continue to develop and establish ourselves in the beer community," Hill added.
