A German fruit trader has issued a warning concerning the consumption of Italian cherry tomatoes from Norma supermarkets in Hesse and North Rhine-Westphalia. The items were found to contain excessive quantities of a certain pesticide, says company Frutima GmbH.
The cherry tomatoes, in 500-gram containers, were sold in Norma supermarkets since 27 December. Norma itself has already withdrawn the tomatoes from shelves. The producer of the tomatoes is one 'Azienda Agricola Crapotto Giovanna'. It concerns batch number L 03.52 / L 04.52.
