Sargento Foods Inc. promoted Bill Schaeffer to vice president of sales within the Food Ingredients Division. With this promotion, Schaeffer will assume greater responsibility and implement process improvements supporting the division’s sales efforts, reporting to Mike McEvoy, president Food Ingredients Division.
“Bill has done an outstanding job as senior director of sales in the value-added area, and we congratulate him on his promotion,” said Louie Gentine, president and chief customer officer at Sargento. “We have tremendous confidence that Bill’s expertise will continue to be a great asset to Sargento.”
Since joining the Sargento family in 2009, Bill served as senior director of sales--food ingredients and director of sales--foodservice. Before Sargento, Schaeffer held sales management positions at The Schwan Food Company in Marshall, Minn., including vice president of sales. He earned his master’s degree in business administration from St. Cloud State University in St. Cloud, Minn., and his bachelor’s degree in business administration from Mankato State University in Mankato, Minn.
