US-based Oceans Omega, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Mycell Technologies, has produced omega-3 fortified gelatins in partnership with Lakeview Farms.According to Oceans Omega, each cup of omega-3 enhanced gelatin offers 32mg of essential omega-3s (EPA/DHA) and has ten calories and is gluten free.
The enhanced gelatins are available in four flavors including Strawberry, Orange, Passion Fruit and Pink Grape fruit.
Oceans Omega has incorporated purified omega-3 branded oils into their gelatins including Meg 3, life'sDHA and OmegaActiv. The company's technology provides water-soluble and stabilized omega-3 fatty acids EPA and DHA for use in standard manufacturing processes including cold-fill, hot-fill and carbonation.
