The Centre for Food Safety (CFS) of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department in Hong Kong has issued a health alert over the consumption of chocolate raisins manufactured by See's Candies, as they may contain tree nuts and eggs that are not mentioned on the label.

The products associated with the alert include See's Candies Milk Raisins and Dark Raisins bearing UPC numbers 7 37666 08306 0 and 7 37666 08305 3 respectively.

According to CFS, See's Candies Milk Raisins and Dark Raisins have been imported from the US.

CFS spokesman said that the agency has issued a health alert upon notification by the US Food and Drug Administration that the above mentioned products were being recalled in America and that the affected batches have been imported to Hong Kong.

No illnesses have been reported associated with the consumption of the affected products.

Consumption of the affected products may cause vomiting, diarrhoea and rash in people allergic or intolerant to tree nuts or eggs.
