ActAcitecitec has been long active in the packing market. The company provides a wide range of services from packing weighing and counting machines to packing stickers, and arranging pallets. Actitec sells second hand packing machines, offers service on location, helps with breakdowns, and thinks of creative solutions to all types of problems.

"One of these problems is the labelling of pallets with sacks of onions which are covered in netting. The export information is given to the packing station for them to see where the pallets need to go. Until now this was done by hand. The existing ticket equipment was not good enough as the adhesive ticket would not stick properly to the net causing the labels to come off in transit," explained Jaap Jansen. "Actitec has come up with a solution where they produce an A4 sheet with the order details and loading instructions and apply to the pallet, which runs automatically."

"When a pallet is full and arrives at the wrapping machine, a command is given to the order system, whereby an A4 sheet is printed out with the relevant information for that particular order. With a specially developed paper fastener, this printed paper is well fastened and stays put throughout transportation and handling at the harbour without becoming loose," said Jap. "These solutions can be used on turning wrappers as well as platform wrappers and work with netting and foil."
