Sino Agro Food, a China-based food company focused on developing, producing and distributing agricultural products, has formed a new wholly-owned subsidiary, Sino Agro Food Sweden Aktiebolag (SIAFS), in Sweden.
The latest subsidiary, which was registered with the Swedish Companies Registration Office on 16 December 2013, will carry out IR representations, provide services in agriculture and aquaculture, marketing, sales and trading of agriculture and aquaculture products, and will indulge in raising the capital.
Sino Agro's Swedish board member Nils-Erik Sandberg said, "With the formation of this new subsidiary in Sweden, the Company furthers its international footprint, opening the door to new business relationships and financial opportunities."
Some of the products that the company manufactures and distributes include beef and lamb products, fish products, bioorganic fertilizer, stock feed and cash crops.
The current lines of business for the company include aquaculture, livestock farming, plantation farming, farm services, and marketing and trading.
