Saffola, a brand owned by Indian consumer goods company Marico, has selected brand designing firm Bluemarlin to create a new 2D/3D packaging design for its oat-based breakfast cereals.

The SKU range is set to be launched in India this month. It will include plain oats, savory oats and muesli.

Bluemarlin's Bath studio has developed the design concept, which leverages Saffola's heritage.

In addition, it also created a light-weighted tub featuring a red heart at the center of the pack, which illustrates the brand's premium offering and health benefits.

Bluemarlin Bath design director Anne Rowe said, "The breakfast category in the India market is growing, but still relatively underdeveloped."

Marico India EVP and business head Sameer Satpathy said, "Entering the breakfast category was an exciting and natural move for Saffola given its strong health equity.

"The new design by Bluemarlin captures Saffola's strong health credentials in an accessible way, communicating wholesomeness and deliciousness to all members of the family."
