JBS USA, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Brazil’s JBS, has selected Quintiq’s optimization platform for 13 of its processing facilities in the US.

In order to meet customer demand, conversions, grades, product age and other quality factors must be determined on a real-time basis, Quintiq said.

The Quintiq platform is claimed to help align production and scheduling plans to provide insight into product availability, which allows sales team to address customer queries on order processing time.

It allows JBS USA to minimize manual planning processes and realign business processes to further improve customer service.

JBS USA SVP and beef finance and business analysis head Eric Wallin said, "Throughout the course of the project, they repeatedly demonstrated that, no matter how complicated the issue, they were committed to identifying a solution and delivering results."

Quintiq CEO Victor Allis said, "Throughout the project we examined the many intricate details that make up beef and pork production and were able to apply our 100%-fit platform to the production process."
