Kepak Convenience Foods is introducing a new ‘Chip Shop Curry’ variant to its range of Rustlers Noodle Pots.
The new 300g variant (rrp £1.99) combines chicken breast pieces with noodles in a chip shop curry sauce.
It comes with a fork and can be microwaved in two minutes.
In research, the product scored particularly high on purchase intent and quality, with consumers expressing how much they liked the flavour.
Kepak Convenience Foods’ Marketing Director John Armstrong said:
“We’re giving people the chance to enjoy a familiar chip shop favourite in a substantial hot snack.
“The launch comes at a time when consumer awareness and recall of the Rustlers brand is exceptionally high thanks to the recent £1.5 million Hunger Monkey TV advertising and digital campaign.”
Research undertaken by Kepak highlights that that 70% of Rustlers consumers also buy the market-leading ambient Pot Noodle, reinforcing the potential of Rustlers’ chilled alternative.
Armstrong said:
“The combination of the chip shop curry flavour and a substantial hot snack will prove extremely popular, attracting consumers to the chiller.
“Our advice to retailers is clear: stock up to meet the anticipated high levels of demand,” adds Armstrong.
