Peanuts & Specialty Foods provider Feridies has launched a line of Feridies super extra large NonGMO project verified Virginia peanuts exclusively at Whole Foods Markets nationwide.
Feridies® is the first Virginia peanut company to receive official verification from the NonGMO Project (www.nongmoproject.org). Feridies® was selected by Whole Foods Market more than a year ago to design a custom label for five of its products: Salted Virginia Peanuts, Unsalted Virginia Peanuts, Redskin Virginia Peanuts, Hot & Spicy Virginia Peanuts and Honey Roasted Virginia Peanuts.
feridies® and its graphic designer, Jared Pitts of Denver Colorado, worked with Dwight Richmond, Whole Foods Market Global Grocery Purchasing Coordinator to develop the exclusive packaging for the specialty Virginia peanut program. The concept revolved around creating art work that told the story of the Virginia peanut and the end consumer...a field to fork theme. The products are under the Feridies® brand but the packaging is exclusive to Whole Foods Market. Customers can purchase products at their local Whole Foods Market or on its website at www.wholefoodsmarket.com/online-ordering.
"We are super excited to have our products available to Whole Foods Markets customers across the US," says Jane Riddick-Fries, Co-Owner of Feridies®. "It is a major milestone for our company, not only to have our products be the first NonGMO Project Verified Virginia peanut but to garner the support of such a great company. We look forward to being a part of the Whole Foods Market team and to a long and successful relationship with the leading natural foods retailer in the country."
"Our shoppers look to us for the highest quality, best tasting products available for their holiday gatherings," said Dwight Richmond, Global Grocery Purchasing Coordinator for Whole Foods Market. "We're excited to work with Feridies® to deliver gourmet, premium quality peanuts in five great flavors that shoppers can look forward to enjoying with their friends and families this festive season."
