Lettuce
The iceberg lettuce business is mostly being conducted with domestic products. Complementary flows from the Netherlands were lacking in Munich and Hamburg. The quotations predominantly moved up, depending on the product. However, they moved down in Cologne because of low demand. They remained constant in Munich by virtue of adequate clearing. Head lettuce mostly came from Germany, supported by Belgian imports. The ratings tended towards a certain stability on one hand, and on the other hand, towards the weekend they explicitly tended upward for the Belgian shipments. They dropped slightly in Cologne due to insufficient sales. With coloured lettuce, manageable quantities from domestic harvest frequently achieved rising demands, although they dropped in Cologne in view of a lacking popularity. Corn salad originated from German and Belgian cultivation. After the occasional price reduction, the price generally rose up until Friday thanks to strengthened orders. Often in an obvious fashion.
Apples
The shipments from Europe increased and the product range expanded. The accommodation facilities were too small for the enlarged supply, so that, despite the excellent quality, price reductions took place in many places.
Pears
Altogether, availability has broadened, which is why dropping quotations regularly were the order of the day. They somewhat reduced availability in Munich and Hamburg, which had a stabilizing effect on the ratings.
Table grapes
Interest turned out friendly to a large degree, in some places more subdued. Seedless fruits are in the center of marketing. The quality of the products was inconsistent, causing a predominantly inconsistent price range.
Strawberries
The accommodation facilities were limited depending on the weather. The differentiated quality of the products had its influence on the ratings: different size, growing method as well as colouring led to a course going both ways.
Peaches and nectarines
Interest went down noticeably and could be met without problems. Meanwhile the shelf life of the fruits went down in some places. Altogether, with an expanded supply, prices tended downward.
Plums
Generally, availability clearly strengthened. Because interest also improved, at least until the weekend, the quotations did not show any serious changes. Individual batches in Frankfurt did go up in price a little.
Kiwis
Supply further expanded. Thus demand was met without any problems. Regarding the quotations, no significant changes were accounted for.
Bananas
As a general rule, supply is adjusted to the accommodation facilities. Demand only rarely changed.
Cauliflower
In the beginning supply was generally relatively limited. Furthermore the quality of the shipments has increased. Both guarantee lasting high prices. Availability often grew from Wednesday onward at the latest, which led to price reductions.
Cucumbers
The supply of snake cucumbers was once again not very lush. The continuously high prices have inhibited interest. Willing to compromise, the traders meet the stagnating sales with a price reduction.
Tomatoes
The zenith of the middle European products appears to have been crossed. The availability dropped somewhat. Due to the manageable size of the offers, the quotations sometimes went up very clearly.
Capsicum
Availability permanently turned out to be relatively clear. The courses had seized up at a high level, which was detrimental to swift accommodation. The price curves often made fierce jumps, especially with the green cultivations.
Onions
With a dosed supply, the demand thus far changed only marginally, with growing availability they had to be adjusted downward in the meantime, the exclusively available Spanish onions however noticeably rose.
