Core Tip: Tyson Foods received consumer complaints about the product carrying "off-odor" smells, as well as of causing mild illness following consumption.
Tyson Foods, an Arkansas-based food company, is recalling approximately 52,486lbs of chicken wing products, which is giving off an "off odor" scent.

According to the US Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS), the fully cooked buffalo style chicken wing section item was manufactured on 24-25 October, 2015.

The products subject to recall are 28oz retail bags containing multiple pieces of Tyson Any'tizers Fully Cooked Hot Wings Chicken Wing Sections Coated With A Flavorful, Hot, Tangy Sauce, and carries use by / sell by dates of 24 October 2016 and 25 October 2016.

The product being recalled contains establishment number 'P-13456' inside the USDA mark of inspection, as well as on the back of the bag above the heating instructions.

The items were distributed to retail locations across the US.

Tyson Foods received consumer complaints about the product carrying "off-odor" smells, as well as of causing mild illness following consumption.

Upon receipt of consumer complaints, Tyson Foods notified FSIS on the issue.

So far, there have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions as a result of consumption of these products.

FSIS has cautioned people concerned about an injury or illness to contact a healthcare provider.

Consumers who have purchased these products have been urged not to consume them and return the products to the place of purchase or throw them away.

This is a Class II recall, meaning that this is a health hazard situation where there is a remote probability of adverse health consequences from the use of the product.
