Royce, a leading name in confectionery from Japan, has opened its outlet in Pune at Phoenix Marketcity, after its successful launches in Mumbai and Delhi. Burgundy Hospitality has brought the brand to Pune.

Samir Gadhok, founder, Burgundy Hospitality, explains, “We have a very loyal customer base from Pune that has visited our stores in Mumbai and Delhi. They have been asking us to bring Royce' to Pune for a while now. We are excited to finally enter the Pune market and offer chocolate lovers in the city a chance to explore, experiment and enjoy this very unique Japanese chocolate.”

The Royce store in Pune is designed to complement the brand’s Japanese identity and culture. Avani Raheja, founder, Burgundy Hospitality, states, “When I first tried Royce' chocolate, I knew right away that this chocolate was special and that it must not be kept a secret any longer. We look forward to sharing this secret with Pune consumers soon.”

The brand offers fresh chocolate products in various flavours, textures, complexity and taste. Royce’s signature product is a cube of ganache, the 'Nama'- truffle-like creamy, moist offering. Ghana Bitter, Mild Cacao, Pierre Mignon and Ecuador Sweet are some of the flavours, all made with fresh cream from farms near the factory in Hokkaido, Japan.

Other than the chocolates, the brand also has other novelties like crisp potato chips with chocolate, almonds encrusted in chocolate and dusted with bitter cocoa powder and a “Prafeuille Chocolat” inspired by the French pastry Mille-feuille - 3 millimetre thin chocolate squares with raspberry and blueberry filling.

With each serving of Nama, comes a designed spatula, every box is packed before it leaves the store in a thermal bag, along with a frozen cooling gel pack to ensure that the product does not melt on your way home. Royce was founded in the year 1983 in Sapporo, Hokkaido, Japan.
