California Giant markets by diet style

As much as California Giant Berry Farms focuses on health and fitness, the company still likes to have a little fun with dessert now and then, and even better, creating desserts for those living a vegan lifestyle. Even though finding vegan substitutes can sometimes be a challenge, this lineup of produce partners managed to develop a book full of decadent options that are sure to please.

This month, the company is teaming up with Duda Farm Fresh Foods, Natural Delights Medjool Dates and well known vegan blogger and author Kathy Patalsky from Healthy Happy Life to create nine decadent desserts to satisfy any sweet tooth, vegan or not. The recipes have been compiled into an e-book and distributed to those in databases of each of the three companies along with Patalsky’s followers.

Over the past couple of years, California Giant has distributed recipes to shoppers looking for vegan options, as well as ways to eat gluten-free, food waste-free, healthy/low-calorie shortcuts, and even e-books full of smoothie recipes with great results and those shoppers asking for more. 

“We enjoy partnering with other companies and innovative bloggers like Kathy at Healthy Happy Life to create and distribute inviting recipes focused on the many different eating styles people have today whether by choice or for health reasons” says Cindy Jewell, VP of Marketing for California Giant Berry Farms.

The company continues to learn about those consumers who have opted in to their database and specifically about what their preferences are in communicating and the recipes they want to receive. Through this, they have found many different types of eating styles and the need for continued recipe development incorporating their berries. Whether a consumer is vegan or eating gluten-free, they still want delicious and innovative berry recipes to share with their friends and family.
