"We haven't seen an increase in sales for the big event here in France," said Tony Fauger from A.M.S European, based in Rungis. He believes the weather in Paris, which is an important market for them, is also playing a part of it. "It has been very bad weather lately, but next week it should be a bit better. Anyway it is not a good cup for us here in Paris."

At Saint-Charles in Perpignan there was also no significant change. "Up to now we have not seen any effects on our sales with the European Cup," explains Anne Florin from Saint-Charles Export. She thinks it may be the weather, which is not so nice in the South of France either. "Apparently, supporters prefer beer to peaches and apricots!" laughs Anne.
