The Canadian Food Inspection Agency says that illnesses have been reported in association with the consumption of Mr. Christie’s brand Arrowroot Biscuits. The biscuits have been recalled due to potential off-taste. The products have been sold nationally in Canada only. The biscuits are marketed to babies, according to product label photos.

The CFIA is conducting a food safety investigation and is verifying that industry is removing these products from the marketplace. There is no word on how many people may have been sickened, illness onset dates, a possible pathogen, or what the symptoms have been.

The 1.4 kg size has UPC number 0 66721 01856 4 and Best Before Dates 2017 FE 20, 2017 FE 21, 2017 FE 22, and 2017 FE 23. The 3.5 kg (bulk) size has UPC number 1 00 66721 51038 6 and Best Before Date 2017 AL 25. Finally, the 3.6 kg 300 x 12 g (2-pack) size has UPC number 1 00 66721 51404 9 and Best Before Dates 2017 AL 21, 2017 AL 22, 2017 AL 23, 2017 AL 24, 2017 AL 25, 2017 AL 29, 2017 AL 30, 2017 MA 01, 2017 MA 02, 2017 MA 05, and 2017 MA 12.
