The Frihol Champignonvertriebs GmbH (Bühl-Oberbruch/BW), which is, according to their own data, "a leading mushroom specialist in Europe", is recalling Enoki mushrooms, which were presumably being sold nationwide in Netto discount stores. The problem: "In a routine control carried out by an independent laboratory, the pathogen 'Listeria monocytogenes' was detected." The mushroom mixtures affected are "mushrooms for wok", "mushrooms for salad", "mushrooms for soup" as well as enoki mushrooms in 100g containers with batch numbers: L-5006, L-5007, L-5101, L-5102, L-5103, L-5104, L-5106 and L-5202.

Since neither Frihol nor Netto restrict their products regionally, it must obviously be assumed that these mushrooms have been available nationally. To this, Frihol writes that they have, "reacted promptly and have removed the goods from the market as a precaution". Customers who have bought these products can return them to the respective store in return for reimbursement of the purchase price or in exchange for new goods - even without presentation of the receipt.
