"Our production has been greater because this year our acreage has expanded by almost 20 hectares," affirms Daniel Bartolomé, of Ajos Cuelgamures. Representatives of this Zamora-based company comment that, despite strong speculation in China and high garlic prices in the rest of Spain, the price has only increased very slightly.
Also, given the stability in the market, Ajos Cuelgamures is currently focusing on the implementation and mechanisation of the harvest, as well as on the company image. In this way, and thanks to the latter, they will be able to expand their network of clients nationally and internationally. At the moment, Bartolomé says that their main client is Italy, where most of their production is exported.
