The Canadian Food Inspection Agency and JD Sweid Foods are recalling Hampton House brand Chicken Strips for “possible harmful bacteria,” according to the notice. No illnesses have been reported in connection with the consumption of this product.
The recalled product has an error in the preparation instructions on the label. The oven preparation instructions should read, “Preheat to 204°C (400°F).” The product may contain harmful bacteria that may cause foodborne illness.
The recalled product is Hampton House Chicken Strips in 1.5 kg packages. All Best Before dates from January 20, 2018 up to and including February 11, 2018 are included in the recall. The UPC number on the product is 0 66123 54381 7. It was sold in New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, Ontario, and Quebec at the retail level.
