Henning’s Cheese in Kiel, Wisconsin is voluntarily recalling some of its Colby Jack cheese for a “temporary pasteurizer malfunction.” Because of this problem, the facility cannot verify that proper pasteurization has occurred. No illnesses have been reported related to the consumption of this recalled product.

The recalled product is Colby Jack cheese sold on or after April 10, 2017 in one and two pound blocks. About 1000 pounds of the product were distributed in Wisconsin. The product will have a date code of 1007 on a small label on the bottom of the cheese block.

If you purchased this cheese, do not eat it. Throw it away in a sealed package or take it back to the place of purchase for a full refund.
