Renaissance Food Group, a fresh food company that is a wholly owned subsidiary of Calavo Growers, Inc., will feature their lineup of Garden Highway Veggie Noodles at United Fresh, as a finalist in the Produce Innovation Awards showcase. The product was created in response to increased retail and consumer demand for fresh, healthy food alternatives.
Garden Highway Veggie Noodles feature four on-trend flavors: Butternut Squash, Sweet Potato, Butternut Squash & Sweet Potato, and Zucchini.
Packed in clamshell containers with a tamper-evident tear-away strip, Garden Highway Veggie Noodles merchandise easily into produce displays and stand out on display shelves with a newly-designed, clear label, which prominently displays the Garden Highway logo while featuring the freshness of Veggie Noodles from all angles. A bottom label on every pack contains universal cooking instructions, allowing consumers the opportunity to get creative with add-ins, such as sauces and/or proteins, for a complete meal. Each package of Garden Highway Veggie Noodles serves 3-4 people.
“As Baby Boomers and the Millennial generation become increasingly aware of the importance that healthy, minimally processed food plays in their lives, we saw an opportunity to create our Veggie Noodle line,” said Nelia Alamo, Director of Marketing & Communications for RFG. “This versatile ‘noodle’ can be used in everything from spaghetti to pad Thai, and we expect to see more fresh vegetables filling the void where pasta and other starches once lived.”
Garden Highway Vegetable Noodles will be featured in the Calavo Growers / Renaissance Food Group booth #2811 at United Fresh, and will be displayed in the Innovation Awards showcase at the center of the show floor.
