The Comfy Cow is recalling pints of some of its ice cream flavors for possible E. coli contamination. No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with this issue.

The firm was notified in July through internal product sample testing that pints of Banana Puddin Y’all, Chocolate Squared2, Cookies and Cream, Cow Trax, Double Fold Vanilla, Georgia Butter Pecan, Intense Dark Chocolate, Salted Caramel, Strawberry Fields Forever were either positive for E. coli or showed high counts of coliform bacteria. You can see the long list of recalled products, the sizes, UPC numbers, product label photos, and use by dates at the FDA web site.

These products were distributed between June 13, 2017 and July 21, 2017. They were packaged in pint containers and sold in retail stores in Kentucky, Missouri, Indiana, and Tennessee.

If you purchased them, do not eat them. Discard them in a secure garbage can, or take them back to the store where you bought them for a full refund.
