The Russian Federation is a key trade and economic partner of Tajikistan. It accounts for more than 20% of the total foreign trade turnover of the country, including more than 32% of imports and about 3% of exports.
The minister said that in the first half of 2018, the foreign trade turnover with Russia increased by 6.6% compared to the same period last year, amounting to $469.5 million, while the volume of imports amounted to $448.5 million and increased by 3.4%, and the volume of exports amounted to $21 million and grew 3.1 times.
