They include Roasted Turkey and Bacon Wrap, Buffalo-Style Chicken Wrap, Meat & Cheese Tray, Roasted Turkey & Colby Jack Pinwheels, Ukrop’s Chef Salad, and Italian Style Pinwheels, among others. That page also has the sell by date and package sizes of the Ukrop’s Homestyle recalled products. Sell by dates range from 9/17/18 to 10/08/18.
In addition, the FDA has a list of the recalled products with more detail. Some of these recalled products came into contact with the same equipment.
All of these products have the establishment number “EST. 19979” inside the USDA mark of inspection. They were shipped to retail facilities in Kentucky, Ohio, Tennessee, Virginia, and West Virginia.
This recall is a secondary recall, since the items were made using Johnston County Ham products that are linked to a deadly Listeria monocytogenes outbreak. The problem was discovered don October 4, 2018, when FSIS received notification that the company had received and processed products from Johnston County.
If you purchased any of these products, don’t consume them. throw them away in a secure garbage can, or take them back to the store where you purchased them for a refund. Wash your hands well with soap and water after handling these items.
If you ate any of these recalled products, you need to monitor yourself for the symptoms of listeriosis, the illness caused by this bacteria. those symptoms include stiff neck, headache, muscle aches, high fever, and diarrhea. Pregnant women can be seriously affected by this infection, and can suffer premature labor, stillbirth, and miscarriage. If you do feel sick, call your doctor.
