Kemps, of St. Paul, Minnesota, is voluntarily recalling Sweet Me Creamery Brookie Dough Ice Cream because it may contain peanuts, one of the major food allergens, that is not declared on the label. Anyone who is allergic to peanuts could have a serious or fatal allergic reaction if they eat this product. The recall notice states that “The recall was initiated following consumer reports of an allergic reaction after consuming the product.”
 
The recalled products was distributed by Kemps to retailers and distribution centers in Illinois, Minnesota, North Dakota, and Wisconsin. These products may have been further distributed to other states; those states were not named in the recall notice. The product was offered for sale through wholesales, retail grocery stores, and convenience stores.

The recalled ice cream is packaged in pint-sized cardboard containers and labeled as Sweet Me Creamery Brookie Dough ice cream. the best by dates for these recalled products are 12/4/2019, 12/5/2019, 12/13/2019, 2/15/2020, and 2/16/2020. The dates are on the bottom of the pint containers. No other products produced by Kemps or under the Sweet Me Creamery brand are affected.

If you bought this product and are allergic to peanuts, don’t eat it. Throw it away or take it back to the place of purchase for a refund. If you have had a reaction, see your doctor.

Early symptoms include tingling of the mouth and tongue, runny nose, and skin reactions such as knives and redness.
