The dips are made from plant sources like cauliflower and cashews, with Goods Foods adding that the dips contain no preservatives or added sugar.
“According to Nielsen Homescan, 39 percent of Americans are actively trying to eat more plant-based foods,” said Danyel O’Connor, Executive Vice President of Sales & Marketing at Good Foods. “With alternative diets becoming a growing lifestyle choice, we recognized that we not only had an opportunity to fill a growing need, but could do so exceptionally, since our plant-based convenience items are made with our same commitment to creating fresh and flavorful foods with no artificial anything.”
The company will offer Queso, Tzatziki, Avocado Pesto, Creamy Cilantro and Buffalo Cauliflower. Each dip is under 50 calories per serving and contains only three carbs, the company noted.
“Our product development team tested tirelessly until we were sure that we were not only providing plant powered dips that are not only, better for you, but full of flavor for superior snacking to delight the taste buds,” added Mandy Bottomlee, director of marketing at Good Foods.
Attendees of PMA Fresh Summit can stop by booth #3791 October 19-20 to see the 4-pack single-serve Avocado Mash, Chunky Guacamole and Spicy Guacamole in vertical packaging available in 2019 and sample the new plant-based dips.
