Tip Top Poultry of Georgia is recalling about 100 pounds of frozen, fully cooked diced white chicken meat because it contains soy, one of the major food allergens, that is not printed on the label. No allergic reactions or illnesses have been reported to date in connection with this recall.
The recalled product was produced on February 19, 2019. The products are labeled as fully cooked diced white meat chicken, but contain fully cooked grilled chicken breast strips. The recalled product is 10 pound cases containing two 5-pound plastic bag packages of “Gordon Choice All Natural Diced White Chicken Meat.” The case code is 599697, and PACKDATE 02/15/19. The product has the establishment number “P-174543” inside the USDA mark of inspection. they were shipped to a distributor orator in Michigan.
The recall was issued after a consumer complaints that the package they purchased had grilled chicken strips instead of diced white chicken meat. FSIS was notified on March 22, 2019.
If you have purchased this item, do not eat it and do not serve it to anyone. Throw it away or take it back to the place of purchase. FSIS is conducting retail effectiveness checks to make sure the product is being recalled and that the company is informing its customers about this issue.
