Core Tip: ConAgra Mills is in the midst of a transition away from production of 100-lb flour bags for its customers.
The company said the decision was driven by a “continuing commitment” to employee safety.

The company said the move to a smaller bag will provide customers with a “more manageable” product and will reduce the risk of injury associated with moving heavy objects.

“We have worked closely with customers to help them with this transition,” said Bill Day, vice-president of supply chain for ConAgra Mills. “While many of our customers have already made this conversion, we hope to have completely transitioned our packaging by June.”
