Core Tip: Allmax Nutrition; BPI Sports; and DynaPep Corporation are the latest firms to be targeted in class action complaints alleging their products contain DMAA in a synthetic form that is “illegal and dangerous”.

The class action suits, all filed by California-based law firm Kirtland & Packard LLP, are the latest in a string of complaints filed by the firm in the wake of the Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA’s) crackdown on supplements containing DMAA.

BPI Sports reformulated its products to remove DMAA a long time ago, but has still been targeted in two class action lawsuits over the controversial stimulant.

None of the defendants responded to requests for comment before this article went to press.
