Core Tip: The All India Food Processors' Association (AIFPA) is organising a national seminar in New Delhi on Friday, May 25, 2012.
It will focus on addressing the issues relating to proprietary foods for speedy development of the food processing industry (the purpose for which it was established in 1943).

While the first session of the seminar will cover the status, innovation and development of proprietary foods, the second will focus on challenges and the way forward for the same.

The association's objective is to ensure that the regulations the industry would have to adhere to are transparent, easily understood by all, can be implemented and monitored. The scope, definition and status of proprietary foods and traditional or ethnic foods will also be spelt out clearly and regulated accordingly.
