Core Tip: Parmalat Australia has recalled Pauls Smarter White Milk from Australia due to listeria contamination, according to the Food Standards Australia and New Zealand (FSANZ).

The recalled product is packaged in a 1 liter plastic bottle and has a use by date of 20 June.

FSANZ noted that the product has been available for sale at Woolworths, Coles, BP service stations and smaller independent outlets in Northern Territory, Australia.

The agency has asked customers to return the product to the place of purchase for a full refund.

Listeria is a type of bacteria, which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems.
