Core Tip: BASF has opened its newly expanded Food Technology & Applications center in Tarrytown, N.Y. The center will allow BASF food scientists to offer workshops and onsite product demonstrations.
“Using our broad range of capabilities, the Tarrytown team is especially focused on finding new delivery forms for dietary supplements and innovating the next generation of snack foods, baked goods, beverages and dairy products,” said Charles Barber, technical sales and applications manager for the company’s nutrition and health business unit.

The company said the investment in North America is part of BASF’s strategy to provide customers with a global network of technical and applications support. BASF also has nutrition ingredient technical centers located in Ludwigshafen, Germany; Illertissen, Germany; Ballerup, Denmark; Shanghai, China; Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia; and Jacarai, Brazil.
