Core Tip: The Azerbaijani Technical Regulation and Standardisation Service has conducted check-ups of 47 food production facilities, as a part of its effort to ensure food safety in the country.
The committee found that 32 sites were not complying with the food safety regulations. As a result of the violations, penalties were imposed and 20 facilities were banned from producing or selling products.

It was identified that the facilities used harmful and dangerous ingredients during the production process. Poor quality food products were often delivered to restaurants. Most violations were found in the production of milk, bread and soft drinks, reported En.trend.az.

The inspection was held in the following areas: Baku, Sumgait, Ganja, Yevlakh, Lankaran, and Sheki.
