The Pride Group of Hotels has launched the 153-room property Pride Hotel Kolkata. The company has invested Rs 100 crore to set up the hotel, which is the group's first property in eastern India.
S P Jain, MD, Pride Hotels Ltd said, "We are buoyant on the industry's growth of Kolkata, particularly the IT/ITeS segment that has fuelled demand of upscale mid-market hotels in this region. While the cultural capital has always been in the forefront of attracting a large volume of leisure tourists, Kolkata is recording a steady growth of business travellers. However there is still acute shortage of upscale mid-market hotel rooms in the city as there has been no major addition in the number of hotel rooms over the last decade. We are extremely privileged to bridge this gap with the launch of our first property at Kolkata."
The hotel has round-the-clock coffee shop-cum-restaurant offering global cuisine. The delicacies would be prepared by a team of celebrity chefs. A well-stocked bar offers an exciting range of beverages, cocktails and mocktails.
