After a very successful first performance in 2011, Driscoll’s employees are again participating in the next Singelloop run on October 7th. This year Driscoll’s has decided to take it to the next level by supporting and raising money for a great local charity, a biodynamic care farm called “De Beukenhof”, in Breda, which is run by people with intellectual disabilities.
This charity run will include 30 enthusiastic employees, family and friends from the EMEA headquarters in Breda, who will run either the 5 or 10 km. Driscoll’s is happy to see that its business partners from across the EMEA region are supporting this cause, by sponsoring each runner. For every euro donated, Driscoll’s will match this contribution as part of the Driscoll’s philanthropy fund.
De Beukenhof foundation focusses on people with intellectual disabilities by offering them a chance to experience life, work and culture together in safe and appropriate surroundings. With the collected funds, De Beukenhof is planning on acquiring a minibus so that they can expand their transport options.
Driscoll's has not only the ambition to deliver the most delightful berries, but also tries to make a difference in the environment in which it operates. Besides supporting various charity projects in the United States, Driscoll's is working on a school renovation project in Morocco in order to improve children's safety.
