SABMiller India has appointed Darioush Afzali as Marketing Director. In his new role, Darioush Afzali will be responsible for the management of the entire brand portfolio of SABMiller India that includes Foster’s, Haywards 5000, Knockout, Royal Challenge, Miller High Life and the newly launched Indian specialty beer Indus Pride. He replaces Derek Jones, who has moved on to a new assignment within the SABMiller group. Darioush will be directly reporting to Paolo Lanzarotti, Managing Director, SABMiller India.
Commenting on his appointment, Paolo Lanzarotti, Managing Director, SABMiller India said, “Given Darioush’s passion for marketing and his professional expertise built across several international markets, he will definitely be an added asset to our management. Darioush joins SABMiller India after having worked within the SABMiller Group across multiple roles and responsibilities in various geographies. He has earlier been the General Manager, Trade Marketing and Key Accounts of SABMiller’s South African Business. Besides that, he has also worked for the SABMiller European hub operations and the Italian subsidiary of SABMiller.
SABMiller India serves Indian market with ten breweries with popular brands such as Miller High Life, Foster’s, Knockout, Haywards 5000, Royal Challenge and Indus Pride and also markets its premium international brand Peroni Nastro Azzurro.
