Washington-based Kestrel Vintners and Reininger Winery have partnered with Transnational Ventures, a wine export and marketing firm in Port Townsend, to sell their wines online in China.
Transnational Ventures serves as the exclusive broker for the two wineries in China and has a tie-up with Shanghai-based GTC Commerce, which runs UniEClub.com website to sell wines in China.
Both Kestrel and Reininger have stocked their wines on the UniEClub.com website for sales in China. Some of them include 2009 Reininger Cabernet Sauvignon, 2008 Reininger Malbec Pepper Bridge Vineyard, 2008 Reininger Syrah, 2007 Reininger Carmenere, Artist Series, Falcon Series, Signature Series and others.
Transnational Ventures president Jonathan Ryweck told Tri-City Herald that they will showcase Kestrel and Reininger's Helix label at Hong Kong Wine & Dine Festival on 1-4 November 2012.
"Last year, attendance was 163,000 people over four days. It is a great way to expose literally thousands of wine consumers to Washington state wines," Ryweck added.
